The best of the series
What really made Partners in time a better game was that it had the baby's and that just made it whole lot more fun.
The start of the story is just like every other Mario and Luigi RPG game. What I mean by that for the people who havent played some of them is, you have to talk to lot of people for like 20 minutes and makes you fight a really easy badguy telling you all the controls that you whould have figured out anyway and it makes you want to return it. But then Toadsworth "dies" and you have to get refreshroom to "revieve him", he does this because th professor tell him that there is a 0.000000000000000000000001% chance that the princess does not return from going back in time. And what do you know, she doesnt but the time machine does with an ugly monster which you fight. Then there are a bunch of time holes that get ripped open and somehow luigi gets nocked into it. Then the very tipical mario jumps in, to save his brother.
They are transported to some place where there are alot of really tall mushrooms and easy bad guys. Then you go into the town and you have to fight the "shrooms", you whould win the battle if there wasnt a countdown thing that only gives you a certin amount of turns and when it reaches 0 it turns into a giant bomb that is unavoidable and you die. The only way to beat the shrooms in that battle is if you get all lucky hit which is almost impossible but if you do it the game glitches and it will frezze up and you have to start a new game.
After the brothers faint you get to play as the baby's, you have to do a very simaler but shorter walk through then baby bowser beams you down to the normal bros and you get to start the fun part, fight with both the babies and the adults.
Next you jsut go through another 15 to 20 hours of story mode. Which the enemy are really easy as long a you fight them all so your always alot higher lv then them. And when you are fighting the boses you should be really cheap and just use bros items.
Then you get to fight the pricess shroob, she is a b*tch of a hard boss for the handhelds. She takes forever because she has alot of health and she can go into this robot thing that you can hurt her unless you destroy the shield. It takes a long time.
When you kill her you get the middle part of the colbat star, that is supose to be a good thing, but it turns out the shroob queen has a twin sister, but she is much more powerfull. The battle is even gayer then the last, first you have to take out her entire body(do it with a mix star) then you have to try to kick the crap out of the head, but hears the really gay part, you only get to hit it with mario and luigi 6 times before her body grows back. You have to continue it for a long time then she dead.
And just when you think your done with the game you have to face another bose, but heres the thing you cant hit it, it is bowser that swallows a weird mushroom that has the soul of the 2nd to last bose, you then have to fight it by avoiding the attack and having the recoil hit the soul. If one of your charecters die your screwed. Bowser gets knocked out in a funny way. O and if you die durring one of the boses you have to start from the first last bose.
The funniest part of of the game is when this one star vebaly and mentaly rapes luigi and it make you feel bad for how much crap luigi gets.
Sorry for how long this review is(if you get this far) but the game is so good that this is the bare minimum it takes to decribe the game well.
