Creative, comedic and sometimes strange storyline keeps propelling you through the first play through.

In Mana Khemia, Alchemists of Al-Revis you do a lot of storyline progression and cut scenes, synthesizing new items and farming materials for those items from monsters and the environment. Leveling is important as with any RPG but you can do not necessarily need to go crazy with it as leveling is largely for gathering extra materials (to perform more variations on a existing synth), and getting attribute points to learn char stat (cost a little) improvements and new skills (cost a lot) I simply wanted to advance quickly because I like the storyline a lot on the first play through, but getting all the synths is fun to b/c there are a lot of combination's involved. After the first play through I wanted to complete every little detail. In MK2 there are new elements, but also there is a second different storyline with different characters for your 2nd play through.
