For this price Duels of Planeswalkers is not only a great deal for Magic fans, but also a very good cards game.
Finally Duels of Planeswalkers allows Magic fans like me to play without worrying about buying cards, because you can simply enjoy what the game offers you, unlocking cards and decks that overall offer a pretty balanced game and a more interesting strategic gameplay. I know that Magic purists will hate this aspect, they'd rather customize their decks 100% to be the greatest bad ass in the game, which is something you can't do in this Xbox version of the game. I'm very glad for it.
I started playing the campaign mode, beating the computer and unlocking the first few decks and cards. The game is very addictive and it's an excellent introduction to whoever wants to start playing Magic The Gathering or to those who want to enjoy it without emptying their bank account.
Duels of Planeswalkers looks good, all the cards are amazing once zoomed out on my LCD tv. I just wish they looked a bit bigger on the table, especially the opponent's cards.
The soundtrack could be tedious but you can use your own music if you get sick of it.
I haven't tried the multiplayer yet part but I'm sure it's gonna be even better than the campaign especially if you play with friends.
