Not what I was expecting, but one feature in particular was very enjoyable.

To be perfectly honest, I purchased this game for the promotional Garruk card. (for the record I never received it.) For the amount of effort put into the aesthetics and fluid action of this game (it is quite beautiful i must say), this game is much to limited to attract true MTG fans.
There are a set of pre-made decks that can be minutely altered with a very limited set of in-color cards for each deck. Using these decks against one another becomes dull very fast and offers much too little in the creative department of Magic-- which is integral in what Magic really is.
The best part for me was a series of 10 challenges. The battlefield is preset up and your goal is to win THIS TURN. These were satisfyingly challenging even to a paper MTG vet, and definitely trains your MTG critical thinking and creativity.
Honestly, if XBLA came out with an entire game of these 1 turn challenges, that would be more intriguing to me than the final product here.
