If you've never played Lumines before, now is the time to start. I even find myself rationalizing Lumines puzzles in my head while not playing the game to get better at it. This is basically the same game as was found on the PSP, but you can download expansion packs for a small fee. While it may seem expensive (coming in at around $15 for the base game and nearly $5 for each expansion pack) it's a great game that will provide many hours of gameplay to any puzzle game fan. The gameplay is highly addictive and fun no matter how many times i play through it. This is good, as there are very few variations of gameplay. While it offers a puzzle mode, in which you try to make different shapes out of your blocks, it only lasts 10 missions (without the expansion pack) which isn't very long of a diversion from the basic mode. The multiplayer mode is fun, as you clear blocks in other to take control of the screen, moving a dividing line between either person's side of the game board, but there are very few people who play online. Pretty much the only way to get an online match is to tell a friend to get online with you. So, in conclusion, the game is a little overpriced ($10 instead of $15 would have been better, considering the price of the expansion packs), but is definitely worth a look if you've never played Lumines before as it will provide many hours of puzzling fun. If you all ready own it on another machine, then it's ok to skip this one over.
