A decent RPG.

The graphics aren't anything special. They're about average, but the gameplay and story make this game good. The story takes place 100 years before Lufia I. A man, Maxim, must fight the Sinistrals to save the world. On the way he will encounter other people that are chosen to fight. The game has a few twists and a very sad ending. You start off in one part of the world and try to go to different areas. You will get new characters and new capsule monsters. Capsule monsters are controlled by the computer, but they are basically an extra character. The game is filled with dungeons that contain numerous puzzles. If you can't handle tricky puzzles this game may not be for you. The main game is long, but after that you play retry mode. In retry mode you will start over, but gain 4x EXP and gold. There is also a special cave called the Ancient Cave. Once you enter your level will temporarily be reset to 1. There are 100 floors and 2 ways to leave. 1 way is to use an item called Providence and the second is to make it all the way to the bottom and defeat the boss down there. Some treasures in the cave can be kept, but the rest cannot be. Lufia II has so many side-quests that will take days to complete. It's definitely not a short game, but if you like long games then you should play it.
