an old school hack and slash arcade game featuring a scantily clad cheerleader with a chainsaw and her boyfriend's head

User Rating: 8.5 | Lollipop Chainsaw X360
if you expecting an old school resident evil contender, then this game is not for you. dead rising players are much more feel at home. lolipop chainsaw story's is more absurd than dead rising, but who cares is a lotta fun. lolipop feels more arcade than dead rising, but it doesn't have the freedom that the latter has. that includes where to go and weapon of choice ( in dead rising everything is a weapon). lolipop have a better saving system, which make it easier than dead rising. for some people it's a bad thing. well enough for the comparisons. let's go on with the:
control
much like every hack n slash games, button responsiveness is crucial. 1 or 2 of the moves is difficult to execute. but most of them you rarely use.
graphic
you've seen it before. it's more comical than real. but that doesn't mean is timid. if you want blood, you've got it.
sound
interesting music. every chainsaw kill is a music to you ear. the voice over resembles many japanese cartoon/manga
gameplay
it's an old scholl hack n slash like splatterhouse or ninja gaiden, with many interesting upgrades. like using nick's head (although most of times it feels almost useles, cause of the availabilty through the game). with the lack of multiplayer features makes this a one go for some gamers. the only thing you can compete with other players is the score in ranking mode.

i found this game very addictive, because i love splatterhouse. but if you more into complex old scholl horror game. i suggest you rent it first.
