Link's Crossbow Training is a very interesting game to talk about. It is packaged with a Wii accessory, the Wii Zapper. It's pretty much the Wii version of the NES Zapper. Now, onto the game. It may be pretty simple in idea, but it is really fun to play.

Yes, it is simple. Just aim and fire. The main part of this game is the score attack mode. There is 9 different levels of this mode where you go through 3 different sub levels where you train, as the title states. There are a couple of different types of levels in the game. The first is a target mode, which is simple; just shoot the targets as fast as you can. The second, Defender mode, makes the player fight a relentless army of creatures. Another mode like this, Ranger mode, has the player fight a certain amount of enemies within an enclosed area.

Of course, you score points by hitting the targets and creatures. So how do you lose points. In the target levels, you lose points by hitting targets with a X on it (again, simple). As you might guess, if get hit by enemies in the Defender and Ranger levels, you lose points.

I have to say, I thought the Wii Zapper worked pretty well. It was very accurate in aiming. This is why I want to see Nintendo release more games that rely on the Zapper for gameplay.

In short, the game is simple but it's really fun and addicting. It's a really great addition to one's Wii library.
