An awesome idea, but it just dosn't work

Lifeline is the first game of its kind. Instead of useing your controller to move your character, you use the PS2's USB microphone/headset to literally talk to you character and make her do things. The basic story is, you get locked in the secrurity room of the first hotel in soace after a bunch of creatures kill the guests and crash the party. You turn on the Operator Terminal to see a waistrese sitting in a cell. By useing the buttons and control you have in the sercrurity room, you unlock her door and start on an adventure to survive, you telling her everything to do along the way, and conversing with her on certain occasions. The game would've been instant gold, if not for the mike controls being extreamly touchy. You might ask, why didn't they just have you say every word like you would normally say it and just memorize it like that. Well there are literally hundreds of words and phrases to use, so, sure it would've worked better, but who wants to go that long just saying word after word after word. Anyway, these kinds of games would be great, if they could just fix the controls. Because you accually talk to the person, you get completely emersed in the game... that is, until you say "Shoot it!" and the game thinks you said "Run towards it!". Ah well, what can you expect?

Overall, Lifeline was an interesting experience. If you're tired of normal games and want to try something new, this is your game, but otherwise, rent it first.
