Short-Lived Fun

User Rating: 5 | Lemonade Tycoon 2: New York Edition PC
I really liked my free 60 minute download of Lemonade Tycoon 2, so thanks to my husband, I got the game.

I started playing in career mode yesterday and I've already made more money than I know what to do with, and have my 10 stands all of the most expensive that's allowable.

It was fun tweaking my game, but that can only carry you so far and have it remain fun. My stands are running smoothly and I'm breaking my own profit records on almost every game-day.

I am supposedly able to post my scores on an online "LSX" stock exchange for the game, but it says I have no career game data to load. But I do, and I'm obviously online. My husband loaded the game and is playing too, and he too is unable to post to the LSX. The help and tutorials provide no info for troubleshooting.

Graphics are great for such a simplistic game.

The sound could use a little something, although what's there is good (just not enough).

Value??? I think $20 is a little steep for this game.

Gameplay is severely limited as you are only allowed 10 stands and only 3 of each type of stand and there aren't growth potentials past that point. And upgrades to the stands are limited as well, so now that I've got the max allowed and am making tons of money each day, I have nothing to spend it on... and that's really boring.

I think maybe a child would enjoy this game a lot more because it might actually pose a challenge. But for me, it's way too easy and way, way too limited.

So, to sum it up: It was fun for less than 24 hours and now it's excrutiatingly boring.
