Lego Star Wars II

User Rating: 8.4 | LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy X360
Lego Star Wars II is the sequel to the current gen game Lego Star Wars. Lego Star Wars II focuses on the original trilogy of the Star Wars Universe of episodes 4-6. The game is pretty faithful to the scenes of the movie, so even if you have not seen the films, you can still learn the story from playing the game. While focused more for the younger audience that plays games, Lego Star Wars is still a really fun game, despite some of it’s issues.
There are a few problems with the game, but nothing that destroys the game play. There are some camera issues that make it a little difficult to see some enemies, and sometimes your character. Some of the levels also lack direction in certain areas. In a few of the levels, I was wandering around for several minutes fighting an endless stream of enemies until I figured out what the key was to go further.
The graphics for the Xbox 360 look better than the PS2 and the Xbox versions of the game, however, it is not leaps and bounds and what we have come to expect from Next-Gen. The controls for the game are fairly simple and easy to learn within several minutes of playing the game. The game also adds many secrets that will keep you playing through it several times over with different characters in each level just to unlock certain extras.
All in all, Lego Star Wars II is a good addition of the 360 and Star Wars universe. The few issues that is does have does not stop the game from being fun, nor impossible to play. If you’re a fan of Star Wars or need a game to play with your kids, you can not go wrong with this one.
