At least there are more achievements to get...

User Rating: 6.5 | Left 4 Dead 2: The Sacrifice X360
I ran through the campaign The Sacrifice in 23 minutes to check out this new add-on followed by a brief jaunt into Versus. I was disappointed to find myself playing the same L4D/L4D2 type experience. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy L4D2 but I was hoping for some new features. The Passing gave us mutations, a new uncommon common(fallen survivor), two new weapons(M60 & Golf Club), ten new achievements, footlockers and new maps. Now with The Sacrifice we just get exploding barrels, a couple new maps and five new achievements. I don't count playability of the original survivors because each character is the same as any other. The chance to choose who lives is a weak selling point and being the martyr feels like a let down as you immediately die when the generator starts. After you've played it once you are not going to care who survives, especially in multiplayer. It is nice to be able to play the No Mercy campaign as well, but again all we get is the same gameplay with no added twists. I enjoy the new areas to slaughter in but I would have really liked to see some new material added for my 560 Microsoft Points ($7.00) to make it at least an equal add-on to The Passing, which was also mediocre. Also a late launch on Xbox Live was the icing on the cake of an add-on I had to wait an extra day to spend my $7 on to be unimpressed by. I still would say get it for the chance to play new maps and if you haven't played L4D you get a chance to play one of the original campaigns, just don't get your hopes up that this add-on will improve your playing experience.
