Out of all the amazing cars on the game, they give you one car to start with! The pathedic '95 240SX. ++++++ - -

LA RUSH

I admit I had fun playing this game for a while, but then it got boring. I played some of the story mode; I unlocked a good fourteen cars.
I was surprised to see that you only got one car to start with if you don’t play the story mode for a while, besides they could have at least given you a nicer car to start off with.
If you like games where it takes ages to unlock things, then this and Gran Turismo 4 are the games for you. For the record GT4 is a great game, but like LA Rush it has a very long and boring story or campaign mode, but that is just my opinion. Gameplay 7/10: I just love cruising around in Los Angeles and seeing all of the famous landmarks, even if it is animated. Midway did a great job replicating LA.

Graphics 6/10: There’s nothing special about the graphics, they are just plain and simple.

Sound 4/10: What terrible sound, I think the same engine noise is used for each car that you can drive.

Value 7/10: I rented this game first and then I bought it at my local video store in a ‘bargain bin’ so it was cheap, but still I did not get my money’s worth out of it!

Reviewers Tilt 5/10: Overall this game was pretty disappointing, you might as well get Midnight Club 3 or Midtown Madness 3, those are both a lot better then LA Rush.

A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) 4/10: When the cops are chasing you it seems really cheesy, they swerve all over the road hitting things, pursue in front of you rather than behind and when over 4 cops are chasing you they become even more stupid.
If you want realistic police A.I. get Need For Speed: Most Wanted or NFS: Carbon, both great games!

I gave it a 6.0 for ‘fair’, because it is just fair, nothing more.

Get one of the other games I selected for a better experience, but don’t get me wrong LA Rush can be a good game if you just like to explore cities and Midway did a fine job animating Los Angeles – The Spanish word for Lost Angels or The Angels (I’m not positive)
