Control matters, and the removal of analog control ruins this one.

This game does not support any form of analog control, it is apparently designed to be driven with a keyboard. Although no controllers are officially supported. Midway documentation indicates that Logitech wheels and controllers are supported, but their support clarified that this only includes Gamepad buttons. This apparently means that Analog sticks won't work as such, even though the console versions from which this was ported supported analog stick operation. When doing a port, please don't remove critical features!

No analog stick, no joystick, no steering wheel, and no force feedback = no fun to drive.

This is not a game like Trackmania that was designed for the keyboard where you _can't_ collide with other cars. When speeding down the streets of LA and trying to narrowly avoid heavy oncoming traffic, subtle driving adjustments are badly needed, but not possible.

As with any game, control defines gameplay, and in this case - lack of control means frustratingly bad gameplay. Sound, graphics, and music are irrelevant if the game just isn't playable. While I won't be playing this one long enough to find the right graphical settings, my first impression on my Geforce 6800 Ultra with maximum image quality settings is that this game looks quite bad.

Disappointing!
