Rockstar makes another great game! *spoilers?*

User Rating: 8.5 | L.A. Noire PS3
ok so it's been a while since i wrote my last review..so bare with me..

ok where to start: first off THIS GAME IS AMAZING! lol now with a little more detail

the game starts you off as an police officer in '47 and as you go though the game you get promoted to 4 different desks, the desks aren't that different. .here's what they are:

Traffic: you investigate anything having to do with automobiles
homocide: you investigate murders
vice: you investigate drugs
arson: you investigate fires

now let's get into even more detail: the traffic level is fun, it's bloody and mysterious,it's great! i really have no complaints about this desk.

the homocide level is probably my favorite and i was disappointed when it ended, unlike the traffic level the cases are connected and i really liked this level due to the violent nature of it, i mean you have a corpse that's beaten and battered! it's so...beautiful.

after i finished that i went on to vice, which let me tell you wasn't that exciting compared to the homocide desk, all i did was go to a place, look for drugs, arrest somebody. end it was really dull to be honest, but that's my opinion.

after getting demoted for reasons i won't reveal, i went on to arson, which i thought would be super cool! well at the beginning it was, turns out half the desk is about a some boring company..then the worst part..V

YOU DON'T PLAY AS COLE! that's right, they get rid of boring cole and replace him with an even more boring character...jack. cole's war buddy

jack is more unlikeable then cole! he had to investigate the boring company as an fire inspector, then an DA agent,(which made no difference) and at one point you are in a hall of records to lookup a lot number.. AND DO MATH!
seriously rockstar, really? at this point the rush i felt at the beginning of the game started to wear off.
(even talking about him makes me tired.)
when you finish a case you are givin a fitness record, which i don't fully understand..i ran into some bugs, but nothing an update couldn't fix.
the way they portray the 1940's is incredible, i mean somebody obviously did their research, they have npcs talking about the war, communists, etc

but i did find some errors, such as marilyn monroe being mentioned despite she didn't get her start till the 50's.

strong points about the game:
a gun that has infinite ammo
INCREDIBLE graphics
the investigating
some amazing cases
the music

weak points about the game:
a unlikeable character (i just didn't like cole)
jack
can only use gun when prompted
some cases are just dull and unoriginal

so tell me if you liked the review and all. hope you did, if not, i'll try to make my next review more "amazing"
