While Kirby's introduction to video game audiences in "Kirby's Dream Land" was certainly enjoyable enough, and "Kirby's Pinball Land" a fun diversion, both of those games suffered from the problem, that they were too short, even by Game Boy standards! It wasn't until "Kirby's Adventure" for the NES, showed video game players out there, what a "Kirby" video game could truly be capable of! With the ability to go back and replay any stage you want, and choose any enemy copy ability that was possible, the next challenge for Hudson Soft and Nintendo, was to take the innovations in "Kirby's Adventure" and port them over to the portable Game Boy! They not only did that, but they went one step further, by adding brand new animal friends who can help Kirby out in certain situations! Rick the Hamster has the best control on icy surfaces, and will never skid as long as Kirby rides him! Kine The Fish can help Kirby swim through fast water currents that Kirby himself can't swim through, and Kirby can swallow any block or enemy while underwater! And Hoot The Owl can fly through any fast air current that Kirby can't float through, and Kirby can swallow any block or enemy while in the air! Plus, while partnered with an animal, Kirby's copy abilities will act differently with each different animal partner! Kirby will need to use many of his copy abilities partnered with his animal friends, in order to find and access all the different Rainbow Drop locations in this game, in order to fight against the True Final Boss Dark Matter, and see the true ending of the game! Plus, with this game now available to access on Nintendo Switch's Game Boy Virtual Console, and the ability to use the helpful rewind and save anywhere and resume from any spot save feature, the game has never been more accessible or beatable, than it is now! If you want to experience a Game Boy game with some of the best graphics, best music, best sounds, best controls, and best difficulty out there; this is a video game that I highly recommend playing and beating through once! It is a thoroughly enjoyable experience! Enough said, true believers!
