WOW!!! Kirby makes golf interesting!
It's a little awkward at first, but once you get the hang of the game, you know the overall replay value... get the lowest score, PERIOD!!! The fact that you just want to outdo everyone else...and if you do well enough, you get medals. Medals give you bonus stuff for the game. And if you do well... you even get more courses to play that're even harder. I'm not too sure why the lives are in the game, but they're there. I guess it adds even more difficulty to this already challenging game. Now, don't get me wrong. The overall goal is easy... but perfecting it will take months! To help you out, you get 10 powers to use in the game. They all can do something special to assist you in completeing the course. Powers carry over from hole to hole, but ending the stage will cause you to lose your power. One great power in this game is U.F.O, which just plain rocks!
The 2-Player Mode is where you can really test skills. You must be the first one to get into the cup to get bonus stars... however, the overall winner will be whomever gets the most stars. Get them of course by destroying enemies and sinking Kirby into the cup. However, in 2-P Mode, you can use powers to attack your opponent, thus adding strategy. If your opponent is near the hole, and you don't think you can make it, try attacking your opponent to buy yourself more time. Or if they're almost out of health... it'll force them to sit out a turn for you to snatch the hole.
This game is pure awesome! Do not ignore this game! This is Kirby at his finest. If you think Kirby is a bad video game character, this game will change your mind, QUICK!
