Great for a test run, but it's not a car you'll want to take to work.

The Good: Creative gameplay; lengthy and challenging...

The Bad: Punishing later levels; a little bland overall...

Kirby has always been known for his flying, move stealing gameplay. He's eaten many a Waddle Doo, and fought Meta Knight in classic sword duals on numerous occasions. He's hunted for treasure, gone on a space adventure, and fought in a wrestling match against King Dedede. He's raced on stars, but I can't recommend that experience.

Get ready for a surprise. Kirby is now a ball (Literally). You must guide him with your stylus by drawing lines beneath him to guide his path. You'll kill enemies, draw lines, and traverse your way through eight crazy worlds. Sounds great on paper, but it's plagued with issues aplenty.

For one, it gets frustrating. Eventually you'll find it painfully difficult to keep up the pace, and levels will be a trial and error nag. Also, the gameplay is interesting, but it eventually gets a little repetetive and you'll wish you could just control Kirby the traitional way. Also the boss fights are repetetive, sub par experiences that'll make you long for Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright, and Meta Knight Duals of old. It's entertaining for the first few hours, but it'll eventually grate on your nerves, and I doubt you'll finish it.

That doesn't make the game bad. It has genuine fun moments, and the levels are a creative bunch. I has all the enjoyment of a classic platformer... it's just short lived, and I personally have no interest in ripping my hair out.

Visuals are pleasant. We're talking about a colorful, great looking game. The musicx is typical Kirby fare for better or for worse. I personally loathe it, but I can't mark it down, cuz that's just me.

Overall, rent it. Get your fill, and then get it out of your sight. It's great for a test run, but it's not a car you'll want to take to work.
