My 133rd review after Wave Race 64.
I played this game long ago when I was younger and it was incredible. But the only problem I find is that it is too easy! But moving on, it has cool stuff like sucking in enemies. This game gets an A-! Here the results:
Gameplay 9/10: It is full of thrills and excitements! Although it can be too easy, which is a problem. Another issue is that if you want to collect every crystal shards, you need to find the necessary ability and there is no hints whatsoever. Some of the designs have awesome thrills and you can use a double-ability, which is very rad!
Graphics 10/10: The graphics are totally incredible!
Controls 2/10: The controls are pretty stiff and Kirby moves somewhat slow and he cannot fly infinitely!
Sound/Music 9/10: The music is just magical!
Lasting Appeal 9/10: Can be one of the best Kirby games!
Overall, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is a great game on the N64.
The Good:
-Incredible graphics
-Magical music
-Thrilling level designs
-The use of double-ability
The Bad:
-Too easy
-Pretty stiff controls, not to mention Kirby has the inability to fly infinitely and he moves a bit in a snail-pace
-Collecting every crystal shards leads to backtracking
