In the current game market with everything either being a relaunch, or sequel it is a nice change of pace for something to be based on a book that can continue to develop as it's own gaming franchise. From a personal and work experience (work at Gamestop) this is one of the few games that actually tries something new and ventures into a new idea with the RPG genre. It may not be a lot new to offer but the combat system and the npc voice-overs were something that most games seem to suffer when you mention role-playing games. If anything could change it would have to be how the quests are set up a lot are point a to point b or meet someone here. I have played about 11 hours in and some missions just don't really buy into "make your own destiny" theme that reckoning displayed itself as. All in all a great RPG with great combat system that makes me recommend it when people ask me at work if there is anything new out that is good.
