The combination of Squaresoft and Disney was a surprisingly nice touch

When Kingdom Hearts came out, I like most people was pretty skeptical about it. Yeah it's got the cool Squaresoft characters, but it's got these lame Disney characters. What are they doing there? I went over my friends house one day and he showed me the game. I was impressed. The action is highly immersive and addictive, and storyline is just good enough to keep you playing from world to world. Granted, if you don't like Squaresoft OR Disney, you derfinitely want to stay away from this game. Graphics The graphics on Kingdom Hearts are fantastic for their time. Given it's one of the first gen PS2 games, the cinematics rival those of the current up to date games. The framerate is smooth throughout, and you'll find the cutscenes are the same graphics as the gameplay.(which could be good or bad depending on your perspective) Gameplay The gameply in Kingdom Hearts is highly addictive. You can do spells, summon things, or do some traditional hack and slashing. Don't expect any in depth combat though, your not going to find it. Audio The audio in Kingdom Hearts is so-so. You'll find Soras voice annoying every once in a while, but besides that, it's pretty solid. Overall If you like Squaresoft or Disney, or just hack n slashes, or maybe just RPGs, check out Kingdom Hearts. You won't regret it.
