Imagine you are driving Mario Kart without any kind of controller. This game is what your thinking about.

User Rating: 7 | Kinect Joy Ride X360
Kinect Joy Ride is the first controller-free driving game experience available in the market today. It is cartoonish and wacky. It is the most exotic and the weirdest driving game.Kinect Joy Ride is quite decent game, one of the best launch titles For Kinect.

In this game you are able to use your own body as you control your car. It works mostly rather well even though you'll experience very odd things with it as it sometimes registers something incorrectly and your ride turns in a wrong direction or crashes into something. Other bad thing is that you can't control your speed while driving. Of course you can use boost but you have no breaks. There is also a steer assist that'll make you swear as it makes you go off track.

In Kinect Joy Ride you are able to drive in five different modes which are as following:

RACE which is split in two: Battle Race in which you get to use different kinds of equipment including rockets, teleport, mines, etc.
And Pro Race where you have to manage with your driving skills instead of heavy weapons. Both modes share the tracks. There are about 10 tracks and they are sorted by their difficulty in scale Beginner-Pro.
Race mode is very enjoyable, only bad thing is that in battle race the AI drivers seem to get the Freeze power-up quite often which is quite annoying.

STUNT in which you have to do stunts in a half-pipe by twisting your body. You can gain points by collecting items mid-air, point multipliers by breaking glass shields and more time by collecting hourglasses. There are two different half-pipes with three difficulty variants of them both.
Doing stunts is fun at first but at least I found it later on a little bit dull. It seems to be missing that something.

In DASH your goal is to get to the other end of the track as fast as you can. You have to dodge obstacles in order to get that best time and gold medal. There are also "Fan tokens" scattered on the track for you to collect. There are if I recall correct two tracks that both have short and long variant and three difficulty variants.
Dashing is highly addictive as you try to get better and better times again and again.

In SMASH you get to drive and particularly drift ('cause drifting gives you more points) over innocent dummies on two different arenas. There are also bigger and nastier dummies. When you destroy these bigger dummies a jump unlocks giving you a chance to destroy the Boss dummy granting you a nice amount of points.
Smash is a fairly easy game mode and is easy and addictive way to earn fans.

TRICK in which you have to do different tricks on the wing (Yes wing) of your car in two different locations and on two different difficulties. On Beginner the tricks aren't too challenging. On Pro there are some same tricks and poses as on beginner and some different and tougher ones.
Trick is probably other of my favourite modes the other being race mode as it is fun and possibly the best way to get loads of fans.

By all the racing, dashing and smashing you gain fans with which you unlock new tracks to play on and new cars. There are 10 different cars with four variations each. I was a little disappointed as the only difference between cars are aesthetic. They could have added a lot more depth by making cars different stat-wise

Joy Ride is a nice experience, but steering problems and the shallowness make the enthusiasm fade away quite quickly.
