Not by any means innovative, but it is a perfect example on how intense and awesome FPS games can be.
GRAPHICS 10/10
-Of course you have all heard it by now. Come on, do I really need to say anything about the visuals? These visuals are stunning. In fact sometimes I think I'm in a movie, and that is no exaggeration. The animations are also top notch. The explosions really make you feel like you are in the game. There isn't a single thing in these visuals that seem neglected
SOUND 8/10
-Well the voice acting from the humans is kinda mixed up. Sometimes its great, but other times it's just laughable. But hell, who cares about the voice acting? As for the music, it's just totally epic. Especially that intro at the beginning. Ugh....the epicness of the music just sends chills up my spine.
STORY 6/10
-Probably the weakest aspect of the game. The main plot really is just "to kill the bad guy and win the war." That would be fine. But with an awesome game like this you'd expect something a little more deep and engaging. The characters themselves are all right but not all that memorable as gamespot said. But the game does have it's moments when you are engrossed in the story. Don't wanna spoil anything though. Still the story isn't anything you'll remember for long
CONTROL 9/10
-OK, I am sick of everyone complaining about the controls. They're aren't bad controls, they're just different from most shooters. I think people are complaining because they are too used to call of duty. Not to say COD is a bad game but there are plenty of other fps games to play. Yes there is a delay whenever you turn or shoot. Sure at first it was kind of awkward, but I got used to it before finishing the first level. The only minor complaint I have though is that the cover system controls are a little clumsy.
GAMEPLAY 9/10
-This game is just brilliant. Now if you are looking for an innovative shooter or something that re-invents the wheel, then go look somewhere else. But if you are looking for very well polished shooter, than you got your game :). One thing I love about this game is how well it delivers realism. In most games, when they put a lot of realism, it ruins the fun of the game. But this game manages to involve lots of realism and stay fun at the same time. But the best part about this game (campaign at least) is that is very action packed and truly makes you feel like you are a part of a large war. I bought a ps3 just for this game and it was totally worth it. Get it.
