Great addition to the Koei franchise and spinoff from dynasty warriors! I Come Forth.
In my opion possibly the most rewarding Strat on the PS2.
Anyway your liu bei, a chinese warlord and your not very happy.
Your nemesis Cao Cao a certain ruthless individual has started a war and kidnapped your beloved! Shock Horror! so u want to get him and her and bring peace to the land! with your totally god-like bros and few other war-like indiviuduals this is a journey of uhhh stuff.
Now the gameplay is thus. Cutscene-Battle plan(lay mines,traps etc.)-Battle-few more cutscenes and then more battle, now this is quite good and the game mechanics are nice with u fluidly controlling your generals and officers around the field and setting satisfying traps and doing mesmerising FF style magic on people! Its fantastic fun while also being quite challenging and strategic. Its sort of like a game of chess with loads of chinese soldiers maiming each other and casting magic.
The graphics are incrdible by todays standards and its obvious that they put in a lot of work into making the cut-scenes truly epic! and believe me there are a lot of cut-scenes.
The sound fits the mood perfectly with orchestrated scores and larged chaotic battle cries and slashing sounds.
Overall it is one of the best most fun strats on the PS2 and i reccomend it!
