User Rating: 6 | Kengo (PlayStation 2 the Best) PS2
Kengo is all about Samurai's and takes place a while back in Japan. It is an older PS2 game so don't expect it to be perfect and be ready to encounter a number of flaws as well as some strengh's.

In Kengo: Master of Bushido the modes include Single player' Versus' and Tournament. In single player you play as 1 of 3 samurai's. When you start out you can choose from several different dojo's where you learn how to fight like a Samurai. Make sure you are sure of which dojo you want because once you choose one you can't change which one you want. During your training you will learn new attacks which you can customize your own combos out of' earn new swords' learn how to block' how and parry. After training lessons you will have to take over all of the other dojos and doing this will earn you new swords. Each sword has a special technique which can be used to quickly defeat an opponent. Aside from dojo lessons you can train on your own by striking posts' cutting down bamboo trees' helmet splitting' and other training methods. You can do any of the training methods while you are at your home. Versus mode lets you choose any charater you have unlocked and play as that character against a friend. Also if you have saved data from your memory card you can lay as your customized Samurai against your opponent.

The Tournament mode puts you against opponents one after aother until you defeat them all or just simply die.

Kengo: Master of Bushido is an average game with customizable sword techniques' different training methods' and basic combat methods. If you like Samurai's this could possibly be a game for you but you will have to be able to accept that it is an older PS2 game and because of it it won't seem as advanced if you play the newer games. Also keep in mind that the game can be quite short and easy so you might want to try renting it first.
