I have played several entries in the Katamari series, but this is my first go with the original Katamari Damacy. The original certainly lags behind its successors, but lays a solid foundation on which more great games were built. For example hunting for cousins and getting to play as the cousins you found was lacking, and the worlds were very repetitive as were the challenges. Still though, this is a fun, very weird game, that is worth being played.
