Well upon getting this game i didn't have the highest of expectations if im honest, getting it long after its release date when it had quickly fallen in price and was part of a deal in the store.
Nevertheless this game surprised me witrh its gameplay, from the very start you are literally plunged into a world of awesome stunts cool moves and revolution underneath a blazing sun and surrounded by tropical environments.
This for one was a change from the typical GTA type cities we are all so used to driving around, i thought the tropical island back drop of rainforests, beaches and small towns as well as cities made a refreshing change from the norm.
Also as i mentioned its the gameplay that stands out, the stunts available to the player as you freely traverse the just cause world are really impressive, jumping from car to car with ease, using a grappling hook gun to parachute behind cars, heck holding onto the tail of a helicopter mid-air, it really packs the fun here.
Aside from this though, the place this game really lacks is the missions, side missions especially, as the side missions are very reppetetive , pretty much same things different town...
And the main story missions too, there a re some reppetetive features here, many are drive somewhere and kill or destroy something.
BUT behind the missions is IMO a brilliant storyline, making all the missions relevant to the revolution showing progress throughout.
And, although some do get reppetetive, many of the missions are really fun, going to different cool places and seeing new things, ESPECIALLY the last few missions, they i thought were well worth playing through the game for.
So, in conclusion, although it does have some drawbacks, i think it is definately worth giving a try.
