A great pick up and play game for your PS3, PSP/Go or PS Vita.

I have this game on my iPod and think it's pretty damn fun and I thought for $3.99 I'd give it a try for my PS3, PSP Go and PS Vita. Four of the best dollars I've spent in a long while.

It's a simple travel as far as you can go type game but it's got charm.

You control a guy with a jetpack and your goal is to travel as many meters as you can before you get hit by an obstacle of some kind. It's 2D and you're going from right to left. If you see a video of the game on YouTube, you'll see what you're getting.

All in-game control is done with one button, you press the X button to activate your jetpack and that's it for controls.

There is a leveling up system in that you complete certain objectives, like walking 500 meters or buying a power up, and then you rank up.

There is no in-game purchasing of items like the iOS version or the free PSN version, whatever you want, you can buy with coins you get while playing the game.

The game looks great and plays flawlessly on the PS3 and the PS Vita. It plays fine on the PSP Go but there is the odd slowdown, nothing major but it's there.

The music is enjoyable and I haven't found myself wanting to turn it off yet.

For me at least, it has that addictive one more vibe that makes you coming back for just one more attempt to beat your high score. I never felt like any my deaths were cheap and when I failed, it was because of my reflexes not poor game design.

If there's a fault to it, there's no separate high score table. Your high score is displayed when you start a new game and it would have been nice to have your friends play and have their name recorded, but it's not really a big deal.

You if you like games you play in short bursts, you can't do much better than this one.

Addendum: Just found out a version of this game is available for free for the PS3 and the Vita. It's almost the same game, with some minor variations. The graphics are a bit better and most of the powerups cost more coins. The main variation being the free version is geared towards getting you to buy coins with real money. The Vita version uses the back touch screen instead of the X button but I prefer using a button, you get better control. The free version also has online leaderboards but when people can buy powerups, you can't really take any of those scores that seriously in my opinion.
