Jak and Daxter are back. But this time they're continuing their journey, behind the wheel.
Jak and Daxter return in a new adventure with a high-octane twist. A crime lord's death brings them to kras city, where his final wish puts them behind the wheel and in a race for their lives.
Jak X is different from previous Jak (and Daxter) games. Jak X is a racing game. But is it a good racing game? Yes, yes it is a good racing game, but it's not what we wanted, it's not what I wanted anyway.
The graphics are unchanged in Jak X, which is good considering the previous games looked great.
The game-play is… well, a racing game. High-speed combat racing game-play blended with a good story and trademark Jak and Daxter humour. Over 30 varied race locations, fully customisable vehicles and more than 100 game tracks. You can take on your friends in 2 player split-screen competitions and 6 player online battles. Your vehicles have customisable weapons to help you win the race against the other drivers to survive to the finishing line. The game-play is fun, but I would have preferred another platformer like the previous games.
The sound-effect are just as good as before with great voice acting and music soundtrack.
Jak X is a good game if you like racing. I have to say out of the Jak and Daxter series, Jak X is the worst and the only one in the series that I felt quite disappointed at. But the game was still good and enjoyable nonetheless, to a certain extent.
