For those of you that are upset that Poy Poy 2 was never made, Irritating Stick may seem like a reasonable alternative. While Poy Poy was based on a fantasy game show that featured young children hitting each other with giant rocks and logs, Irritating Stick is based on a real live Japanese game show where contestants have to navigate mazes with a giant electrified stick that seems to explode when it hits the wall! Sound interesting? Sound provocative? Sound like its worth the money? Unfortunately, the answer to these questions are no, no and no. . .The presentation is terrible -- with your “stick” being represented as a dot, it's really not all that convincing. Enough said? I think so. The bottom line here is that if you're considering a bout with the Irritating Stick, you would be better served with The Game of Operation instead. Operation won't run on your Playstation, but it does feature a big red nose that lights up when you hit the sides as you operate on your patient. As for Irritating Stick, the graphics are bad, the sound is muffled and the game play is frustrating and boring.
