This game takes cinematic gameplay, redefines it, and revolutionizes it.

User Rating: 9 | Indigo Prophecy XBOX
Indigo Prophecy is simply one of Atari's greatest games. The story centers around four playable characters. Lucas Kane, the misunderstood protagonist, Carla Valenti, the Italian bombshell detective, Tyler Miles, the efficient officer with baggage, and some small gameplay by Markus Kane, brother and man of the cloth. The story begins with Lucas in the bathroom of a local diner in New York City. He wakes up and finds himself with his hands covered in blood, on top of man who appears lifeless. He escapes and the body is later found, and the police show up. Two detectives on the scene, Carla Valenti and Tyler Miles, inspect the scene and it appears to be some kind of random killing with no purpose except the satisfaction of the murderer's blood lust, but Miss Valenti appears to think there's more to it than that. As the story progresses, you start to learn what really happened that cold New York night and what literally possessed him to commit such a heinous crime. The voice acting in the game could be an A-List Hollywood cast and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, it's just that good. The only real downside to this game is the graphics, which are less than impressive. Yet even with lackluster graphics, the stellar voice-acting and revolutionary gameplay more than make up for it in this Atari masterpiece.
