Calling this game incredible is an understatement.
This game is hard, but with practice and a better understanding of how the game works increasing your ability to play the game well becomes an enjoyable past time. The games controls are simple and brilliant. As the pilot of the Ikaruga you can change polarity and absorb bullets of the same polarity, if you get hit by a bullet of the opposite polarity, you are dead. When you absorb bullets you build up a missile gage, which can be released for a more powerful attack than your standard weapon. There are no weapon upgrades in this game which make it all the better, it is straightforward, but it delivers it with so much depth one can easily extract over 300 hours playing this game. If you enjoy a good challenge, stunning visuals, and an incredible music score, I would highly recommend this game, as it is one of my all time favorites.
