So SLOOOWWW....

User Rating: 6.5 | Hotel Dusk: Room 215 DS
Hotel Dusk had some interesting ideas. I liked that you were able to see a first person perspective on the top screen while you moved around on the map on the touch screen. There just weren't enough puzzles, thought the few there were were executed well. I liked the illustrative style, akin to handdrawn pencils and the 3D graphics were adequate for the DS.
That said: This game was just plain boring! Perhaps there are individuals that will enjoy the convoluted mystery that brings all these people in this hotel together, but I just couldn't bring myself to get into it. And I tried. I came back to it many times but overall, I just don't think this story was worth it. I would have loved to have seen a really compelling story in this format, but the writing for this was not up to par for a game that depends so heavily on it. I must confess that I was able to slog through it up til chapter 9, but it just wasn't getting any better. There's a better game somewhere folks.
