If you want a golf game with an arcade feel then this game is for you. Tiger Woods or Links it is not.

I have not played previous versions of this game so I cannot compare it to those. I have played Tiger Woods 2004 and Links 2004 so that is what I have to compare it to. HSG4 is an arcades style golf game. It is a very fun game to play and more challenging game then Tiger Woods at times. The sound is what will very much annoy you with this game. You will turn the sound off right away. The caddys say really stupid things over and over. The wind for me was harder to judge in this game. I will end up hitting in the rough a lot. In HSG4 I feel good when I get a birdie and par isn't too bad. In Tiger I always felt like a birdie was mandatory on a par 3 and 4 and an eagle was expected on a par 5. I like it because the computer will botch shots just like you. Rarely happened in TW 2004. Like I said it is a fun game to play but if you are a person who likes more serious golf then I would pass. I think at $40 it is a little much and would suggest waiting for the price drop.
