This game truly shows that the Cruisn' era and Top Racer series has affected how great the game is.

User Rating: 8 | Horizon Chase Turbo NS

The good: Simple fun racing tracks and cars, upgrades are fun to get, ideal game for multiplayer, especially for the Switch, music hooks you in right away.

The bad: Requirements might start to get tedious; petrol pick up can get really annoying, requires trial and error to win each race.

There aren't any other games like this. Cruisn' era shows that arcade racing hasn't died down, leading to the latest game Cruisn' Blast. Before that, the Top Racer series (due to copyright issue, it's been changed from Top Gear, the BBC series), shows how fun it is to race against a computer on the bottom half of the screen. To keep it short, despite a few hiccups, this game is worth getting.

It's a no brainer. The cars are responsive, the tracks are sharp, and the graphics looks great. That shows on the car design too. The music is excellent in its own right as long as it gets your heart pumping. However, there's a few flaws. Despite difficulty, the trial and error on coins can be troubling, keeping petrol pick up can be a pain and it will take many tries just to win a race.

Be thankful that it's fun on the multiplayer side. There're enough tracks for the replay value to last, including getting upgrades and getting the satisfaction you deserve.

This game is highly recommended for people who wanted something straight forward or reliving the past in a new way, reminding them of the Top Racer series and the Cruisn' era. Not made for realistic racing, I do also recommend letting the kids have fun with this game too. So enjoy it to your hearts content.
