Didn't live up to the HYPE!

The game had so many possibilities, but it fell short in my estimation. You must move at the pace of your AI squadmates, you must follow the cues to do major actions issues and CANNOT leave your AI squad behind. THEY must open doors UNLESS you have a special cue to do so and you MUST wait for them go through first. They tend to get in your way alot like the AI in ME1 also. The weapons are fair as an overall, I liked the sniper rifle.

The story line was pretty good, but to me unclear from the outset so that when the end of the campaign comes, it was a surprise, that coupled with the fact that it was the SHORTEST campaign of any modern FPS I have ever played, I mean if you sit down and really concentrate on playing through, you will be done in approximately 4 hours.

The one positive I really liked was the Helicopter flight controls, AWESOME and the best Heli controls (based on the real deal) I have ever used in a video game. That and they modeled one of the best flight control helicopters in the world with the Hug*s 500 or OH-6 Cayuse if you prefer) The graphics are pretty good, the mechanics of control are lacking, even though set up like other common FPS games but it darn sure wasn't a frostb*te engine driving it ( Frostb*te has spoiled me)

The online play was very good, but the first four of five days, you couldn't get online, too many bugs, not enough server space, etc. Kills are pretty easy and I liked being able to go prone in sniper mode.

The replay value of the campaign is NIL, NADA, ZILCH, but I am sure it will gather some following for online players till something new comes out that steals it's thunder.

I reserved it before release for the DLC freebies and picked it up on day one, but, alas after all the hype it just didn't have what it takes to make me want to keep it in my collection ( & I have a decent gamer collection) and has already been traded in.

Rent or borrow before you buy this one all or at least wait and buy used.
