The choice is yours!

The game industry pours out FPS games these days, some quite entertaining but without any motivating drive, some with incredible graphics talent behind it but with lame stories and boring targets. Not so with Hitman Absolution! Here we get all the right stuff in a perfect mixture.

The stunning graphics is what catches your eye first, then you have the great sounding musical backdrop and truly professional voice acting at its best. But that's just the framework of one of the currently best games on the market: It's the huge variety of choices that absolutely blew my mind. Here you get actual replay value, you can just replay one mission over and over with different tactics, different weapons, various appearances, as a brute or as a shadow and that's the one I like most: you can be a hitman without being a killer, except for your ultimate targets of course. On the other hand, you can certainly help yourself to a bloodbath if that's your cup of tea.

Depending on your take of a mission, you get recognition for the way you play and the things you discover. I very much like those end-of-mission statistical reviews of your deeds. They help keeping you motivated and if you are like me, they make you replay a mission once or twice just to get it exactly right the way you want.

The storyline is interesting and offers some surprising twists. My only criticism applies to the duration of the story, because I found it pretty short. But then again, you can always play the missions many ways, which kind of equals it out for me.

Hitman Absolution is definitely worth every Dollar you spend on it and unfortunately I cannot say this for most other games of the genre and in general.
