Kult: Heretic Kingdoms is a RPG game with some novelties. If I say frankly, in first look it seems a boring game to me. But as the game progress it becomes one of my all time favourite RPG game. It has all the things that a RPG fan wants from these types of games. This game has a nice and beautiful story behind it. .Some people told that its graphics are back dated but it’s not true, it looks amazing though many areas seems to be same and environments looks standstill. There is nothing to say about games mediocre sounds. Gameplay introduce some new ideas-player can focus on quests and fighing not on collecting huge amount of healing potions because you have basically unlimited healing objects in the game though your maximum health will be decreases as enemies hit you. But you can replenish your full health by resting. There is only four attributes that you can upgrade when you get sufficient points. They are melee, range, magic and speed. Upgrade works like grading system. Again this thing removes complexity from the game. It’s a pretty straight forward game. Gameplay is linear and you shouldn’t have problem finding and solving quests. There are two dimension in the game regular and dreamworld. Both have different characteristic but you can spent a specific amount of time in dreamworld. And here is some bad things-there should be more than one character because you have to play with an almost pre made character in this game. The game consumes a great amount of system memory though latest patch removes this issue. There are few bugs in the game-like enemy stuck in some areas-though these things help to kill two boss type Creature very easily. The goods of merchant don’t change in the whole game, that mean you will get the same things from a seller even they don’t restock. Overall a good game but it’s has no replay value and you can’t play after the main quest even if you have unfinished quests - this thing hurts the game.
Heretic Kingdoms reminds me a lot of the role playing games being served up during the Baldur's Gate period. The graphics are similar to those of the time, the gameplay is story based, and the gamer develops a fondness f... Read Full Review
