Game of the decade.

User Rating: 10 | Heavy Rain PS3
Wow, just wow! I've been waiting for this game since it was first announced. Since it was from the dev's that made the hugely ambitious; Fahrenheit, i was intrigued by this game. I've now finished the game and all i have to say about it is, while the decades just started, this game is the game of the year and is going to be one of those games that gets praised for years to come.
For those that played Fahrenheit (indigo Prophecies) it's generally the same game mechanics, with the extra of the motion controller. You play as four different character's, each with there own story to tell and all end up looking for the same thing; the Origami killer. You play as a private detective, a journalist, an F.B.I agent and the victim in all this who has his child kidnapped by the killer himself.
Im not going to say anything about the story but suffice to say it's one of the most brilliantly well paced story's i've seen in a long time. I can see alot of influences too: such as Se7en, Saw and Memories of Murder. It's intelligent and grips you from start to finish. I was a little worried about how it was going to end, but the conclusion for me was mind-blowing.
The control scheme is as unique as Fahrenheit, using R2 to walk, L1 to change camera and the prompt's you to use the analouge directions and random button press's to do action's, some actions get you to shake the controller as well.
The Main attraction though is the graphics. Now im not a shallow guy, i go for gameplay first, but the graphics are striking, jaw-dropping and eye rolling. there is no game on this planet that looks as amazing as this game does. When you see them you'll be blown away, every minor detail has been pain-stalking detailed.
There are a couple of niggles though: the camera can be a touch sensitive, and you do come across the odd glitch that can spoil the unique world.

Graphics: Absolutely mesmerizing, I've never seen anything like it. 11/10.

Sound: All the Voice actor's are brilliant, minus the exceptions of the kids... the score is a thing of beauty as well. 9.

Gameplay: Fahrenheit had some niggles, this game took away all the niggles and gives you a brilliant experience. All kind's of different things to do: from playing in the park with you son, to intense action sequence's. 9.

Sh*te Box: You get the odd small glitch, here and there. Camera can be a little fiddley at times. That it has to end.

Overall: This game is simply amazing. Im not the kind of guy who gives out 10/10, because i don't believe a game is perfect. But this is a near perfect game and i don't understand how gamespot gave this 8.5, anything less than a 9 is harsh. Best game of the year so far, and one game that will be talked about for years to come. You must buy this! 10.
