If you only look at the innovations, you will be happy for a while, with better controls, jumping, critter catching, the Grand Bazaar, and things like that; but the upside is over. Let's say that you want to do a Harvest Moon's traditional money making activity, Mining, you can't. Why? There is no mine. You buy ore from a guy in the bazaar, or find in ore stones. Also, time as 1 hour per real minute, it's slow. I'll tell something that happened to me, it was a bit late and I was playing the game, and I needed to wait until noon (in the game) and it was around 8:15. I fell asleep waiting. Going back to the downs issue, there is no exploration in this game, and, it makes the game dull and somewhat boring, there are some story issues too, like, How did you got in Zephyr Town, and why did the mayor gave you a farm? Why there isn't a Harvest Goddess? Why can't you go to the city? I'll stop the questions here. Those are some motives that made me dislike this game. When I bought this game, I was expecting a good game, an evolution to the Harvest Moon series. I played almost all Harvest Moon games, and I really liked them, but this one tarnished the good name of the series. I hope Natsume makes a good game to compensate.
