Surprisingly refreshing

Since COD:MW came out I have been out of touch with the Halo scene, ODST was a fun twist but something felt lack luster about the franchise with the changing of the FPS standards.rnrnI was hesitant to ever go back the series when Reach first came out due to the Military shooter craze. I finally gave this a chance after MW3 was a major let down and BF3 just doesn't feel right on console, and surprisingly enough I was drawn back into the Halo series. Reach takes the classic multi-player that originally changed the way we play shooters and gives it an update. rnrn You dont have a gun loadout, but you do get a special ability load out, whether it's sprinting, using a jet-pack, bubble shield, armor lock, evasion, a hologram, or camoflauge, the way they went about updating the MP just feels right and it's balanced which is a big thing.rnrnThe story is gripping, it draws you in and hooks you, it uses your armor customization to portray your character in the campaign and it actually feels like its your character not a pre-created model. The campaign leaves you wanting to find out what happens next at the end of each level and is alot more intriging that most other FPS games out there. rnrnThis is not your cliche/ cookie cutter FPS story. Just to make sure I dont ruin anything for anyone interested to play who's reading this I wont go into details on the campaign but will say you will not be disappointed if your a Halo fan.rnrnOverall Halo: Reach is a great refresher to the series and was long over due. No other shooter on xbox can be compared to Reach for story or multiplayer both are fantastic.rnrnOverall I'd give Reach a 9.0/10.
