Halo: Combat Evolved

A great shooter that started a great series.

Good: great story, fun game play, loads of weapons, numerous operable vehicles, a few different environments, good controls, decent graphics for its time, great music/audio, decent length campaign, numerous types of enemies, fast loading times

Bad: missions can get repetitive with similar objectives, environments can get boring (long gray hallways with sliding doors, etc.)

Overall: I had originally looked up the Halo plot before playing Halo 2 and 3. I thought I'd go back and play the first one, as I never experienced it. For those of you (like me) who never played the first Halo, but have tried later ones, game play is pretty much similar to the later Halos. If you haven't played any Halo games yet, but want to start, I recommend playing this one first to experience where it all started out.
