User Rating: 8.5 | Gyrostarr WII
Gyrostarr involves you controlling a ship and collecting power-ups in a shooter. However there is a twist. You must collect a certain about of energy by going through canals to gain energy orbs. You need to gain enough energy to pass the level. If you get more, you will be able to get to a bonus stage with no enemies and more extra energy for the next level. However the level is short and fast. This proves to be an interesting gameplay mechanic. This can be a turn on for people not fans of the regular shooter. Also, add the fact there is multiplayer.

However there is something the game retains from many of those kinds of shooters. The levels will get really HARD. Sure the beginning is easy, then it gets hard. The later levels will have more enemies and faster speeds. If you are hit by an enemy, you lose energy. If you don't have enough by the end of the stage, you lose. After a while though, the gameplay might get repetitive.

An interesting thing is that there are motion sensing controls available. It controls the same way Mario Kart Wii works. You tilt the controller like a wheel. But if you are serious with beating the game, stick with the Wiimote without motion sensing. You can also use the classic controller or controller with nunchuck.

The graphics are cool. They are techno themed with vibrant colors. Also the music is an energetic techno theme. The music goes with the game really well and fits the mood you are in when playing the game.

The game has 50 levels, 50 bonus levels, and multiplayer mode for up to four players. Also, you can play each level again after beating the it. This game has a good amount of value. However the game gets a little boring when everything is beat. Overall this is a great game for only a small amount of 700 Wii Points
