Gun was fairly hipped back before it came out. neversoft made it come out as GTA set in the old west. While gun has a few things going for it there is alot of things going against it at the same time. Gun's story is a good one following the story of Coltin Black as he sets out on an adventure after his father dies on a boat ambush. The characters you are interesting and keep the story going and certainly has the flair of a classic western movie so many enjoy. Once you get the control Coltin thats when the problems set it. Aiming is way to awkward and the small c stick dose not help. Aiming and camera movement is on the same stick so it can be hard to see were the people shooting at you are. Switching weapons and reloading is a pain as well. To reload you push down on the d par to switch guns you press right, you can also bring up a menue by pressing left to switch weapons in your hands. Pressing up will heal you. This is more awkward then it sounds. Basically each battle will just melt down to using the quick draw to take out your foes and ducking down till it fills up again. You can try to run and gun but it almost always ends up in death. The boss battles are unfun as it gets. They are just guys with more health and can kill you faster. Finally to ice the unfun cake theres really nothing to do in the barren world just you, the wide open fields and the buffalo. This game is in the bargen bin. I got mine for $10. It's not a bad weekend play (as long as it takes to beat and forget it) Just be prepared to have bumps in the road.
