Guitar Hero 2 is an absolutly great game. i only wish it had a little better of a soundtrack.

i got this game 2 or 3 days after it came out. but because of my chronic procrastination, im just getting around to writing the review (ill get help for my problem later, i swear) Guitar Hero 2 basically plays the same as the original. hit the the fret button and strum as the note comes down the screen. the only difference is there are now 3 fret chords, the solos are crazier, and hammer-ons and pull-offs are easier. the multiplayer has been changed too. the are now 3 types, co-op, versus, and a versus mode where both players get the same amount of notes(i forget the name.) the players play either lead, rythm,or bass guitar. both players can play on different difficultys. also there are some new characters, and yes, the grim ripper is back. no online though.

it is impossible to talk about guitar hero without talking about its soundtrack. it has a lot of great songs like YYZ, Carry On Wayword Son, Jessica, You Really Got Me, War Pigs, Sweet Child O' Mine, Cherry pie, Message in a Bottle, Madhouse, and of course, Free Bird. my only problem is that soundtrack isnt as good as the original (no one likes Tattooed Love Boys.) it could have used some AC/DC song and Two Tickets To Paradise to name a few. also the bonus songs werent as good as the original either(All of This was awesome and was better than Cheat on the Church.) the only really good one that i can name is Trogdor.

so overall i think Guitar Hero 2 is a great game. it has a great, but not as good as the original, soundtrack, awesome controls with the mini sg, and is a great game to play with friends i highly reccomend it

a few quick notes
1. i bought the version with with the guitar
2. i got my whole family hooked on it on Cristmas Eve
3. ill give nevorsoft until Guitar Hero 4 to screw up the series (tony hawk games are dead to me)
