User Rating: 10 | Guitar Hero II PS2
First time I had heard of Guitar Hero honestly didn't phase me. I'd seen people play it and thought, "big deal". Then I finally picked up my first guitar. And I had a blast! Amazing thing is I'm left handed and it was nearly impossible to play that way. So I tried it right handed and I ended up learning it pretty well, showing how easy of a learning curve there is.
I kept on playing and playing. The thing that probably made me want to continue playing, besides it being amazingly fun; is the songs. Amazing songs that you can rock out to. And most of them are known, therefore easier to play because you know the general beat.
Easy: I didn't start on easy, but starting from medium to easy made it much easier on me. I was keeping up with my cousin who had been playing for a month or so. Easy consists of mainly 3 cords and rarely ever two in a row.
Medium: I started on medium and I just kept shouting how ridiculous it was that it threw you all over the place. Medium ranges from 3-4 cords and uses a lot of two at once frequently. I like a challenge.
Hard: I don't know too much about it, because I have yet to get there. However you do get the choice of picking Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert. Expert is mind boggling. I tried it for kicks and lost in 10 seconds. Extremely fast and multiple cords. I want to see someone get it 100%.

Multi-player: Multiplayer is fun. You can do Vs. where you play against another. And like all modes is based on a percentage of the cords you hit. 100% obviously not missing one. You can also do a co-op I believe it's called, where one does the main and bass or main and rythm. I prefer bass honestly. It goes more with the song and is easy to learn. With multi, your meter is also based on both players. The meter being Red meaning you're doing horrible. Yellow, which is average. And Green where the crowd loves you! Every so often you will also get "Star Power" where (being single player or multiplayer) if you lift your guitar you start star power and you rock even harder. Star power can only be activated if your meter is full. And you hit a certain amount of cords in a row. Star power can be a good or bad thing depending if you can lift your guitar and keep up the streak. Generally it will be good anyway because it will jump your meter. In multiplayer both members have to lift at the same time. It's interesting.

There is so much more to this game. With unlocks, such as more songs, stages, guitars, characters, etc. Which you can only unlock with cash earned from playing good shows.
This game will keep you wanting more and more! I recommend this game to anyone who hasn't played it, or has been hesitant to play it. * * * * *
