What can I put in this box? The game is epic okay? That's all. I don't have a big intro this time. Just read the thing.

User Rating: 8.5 | Guilty Gear XX Accent Core WII
It's 4:00 AM here and I can't think of anything to say. This game is freaking awesome. It's one of the best 2D fighters I've played. Just read the damn review. There is nothing that I can say about Guilty Gear that has not already been said. Start reading.

Story: There is no story in the game itself. You have to look it up. Apparently, it's like 2172 or somewhere around that year. These super powered freaks called Gears are destroying the world. They've already pretty much destroyed Japan, and the Japanese are an endangered species. The main character, Sol, seems to be looking for answers about a person known only as "That Man" who is responsible for Sol and another guy named Axl being in the future. Sol is apparently over 150 years old. "That Man" is also the father of a gear named Dizzy, and Dizzy's mother is a gear named Justice. The whole story is kind of hard to follow, but that's probably because I'm missing some details. It's like watching Lost and missing an episode, so you have no idea what's going on. Also, even with all the transvestites in the game, the only one who is actually gay is Venom. That's kind of surprising, I guess the developers don't think anyone cares enough. Most people don't, I don't really care. So why am I writing about it? So you care about what I'm saying so you care to not care. I know that didn't make sense, but just go with it.

Design: Again, like it's successor, Blazblue; Guilty Gear is a game designed to make doing large combo attacks fairly simple. The only difference is, Guilty Gear has twice as many characters. All of the characters have different play styles and strategies. Some characters (Sol, Ky, Chipp) can just charge right in and attack. Some (Baiken, Anji, Axl) often use counter attacks. Others (Dizzy, Testament, Bridget) will set traps and use projectiles. Uhh... brain fart. Sorry, had an idea for what to write down and lost it. Maybe I shouldn't be writing this at 4:30 in the morning. Anyway, it stays true to the tried and true 2D fighter formula.

Gameplay: Whenever I play this game, I get right into the mood for beating the living sh!t out of everybody in my way. Although, the characters are so sexy that sometimes I feel bad for beating them up. And not just the women. Yeah, I said it. Anyone ever feel like that when playing a game? The game has the usual commands. Quarter circle forward punch, half circle back kick, double quarter circle forward slash. Damn it! Lost what I was saying again! Anyway, the super moves you can do are pretty spectacular. Shooting lightning blades, engulfing yourself in flames and tackling the poor b!tch, unleashing a barrage of attacks and slashes at the guys that dare to mess with you. Out of ideas. It kicks ass. Special moves, super moves, and...... OH! I just remembered the Instant Kill moves. By pressing all the buttons (Literally, P+K+S+HS.) you go into what I like to call, Fatality Mode. If you miss with the Instant Kill, though. YOU ARE FU*KED.

Presentation: Guilty Gear has been a sprite based fighter ever since the 1990s. The animation on the characters is very well done, the backgrounds look cool, and the music. Wow, the music is...... umm...... how can I put this delicately... FU*KING AWESOME! It's rockin' heavy metal! The whole game you get awesome tunes to get you in the mood to kick someones ass! Maybe the reason for that is because the creator, Daisuke Ishiwatari (Say that five times fast.), is a big fan of rock and metal. His favorite band is apparently Queen. Fun fact, the character Testament, he's named after a metal band.
The character animation, backgrounds, and especially the music, they're all fantastic.

Overall: EPIC
It's not a perfect 10. It's not a 9.0, but it holds a special place in my heart. It's a personal favorite of mine. Even though I did make fun of it a bit just now. It's EPIC! Dun dun du du dun dun du du dun dun du du dun! (That was entirely pointless.)
