Worth it if you value gameplay and graphics over storytelling.

Story: The story in this game can be summed up in 2 words *poorly executed* The game starts out quite well, good pacing, good character development. Interesting plot. Then about 10 hours later it goes right through the tube. It's like the devs for this game quit half-way, and just threw something together and forced a release.

Graphics: Beautiful. Not much can be said, the enviroments are very lively and well done. Smooth character animation and almost perfect lip sinks on the cut scenes.

Sound: Eh, kind of a mixed bag. Some of the songs I enjoyed, and some I wished they had put in a "remove audio option." The voice acting is really well done. I applaud square for hiring such a lively and talented bunch.

Gameplay: The gameplay is the selling point of this game. The battle system is very well done, and thought out. The skill and magic system is really well done and is bound to keep you busy for quite some time collecting and trying different combinations. Dungeons are pretty straight forward with minor puzzles, nothing that makes you really use your brian. And the only downside is I found that some of the different dungeons were kind of the same.

Overall this game is a dissapointment for me. At first It started out epic, but ended with a bad taste in my mouth. I'd rent this game before you buy or, pick up a used copy.
