Vice City Stories.... Sounds like a dream doesnt it?
To start with the main thing that you've all been waiting for.. DOES IT PLAY GOOD? ofcourse it does, its GTA.. the sandbox gameplay is still there, and so is the crazy stunts and...and... SWIMMING IS NOW IN VICE CITY.. its awesome! Alright, you know what im gonna keep saying, Awesome this and Awesome that.. and you really want to know whats bad about it.. right? well, there are a couple of things that are bad..
first, the fighting system is unique, but you can see there was no effort put into it (the clipping is bad, and sometimes its hard to hit someone), and when you have your gun equipped and your close to someone, you cant shoot them, sometimes you punch them, but other times your just standing there. And when someone kicks you onto the ground, its a pain to get up and start fighting again. Also, sometimes when your driving your car and you get caught up in a collision, your character just comes out of the car, and his life is slowly draining out. And its not like Saints Row, where it actually looks like a collision. Vance just teleports under his car and just dies.. There are some other minor issues but i wont get into it. But ofcourse, overall its better then the original Vice City's gameplay.
The graphics.. What can i say? its GTA.. the game obviously looks better then most PSP titles.. and the graphics are in some ways better then the original Vice City. The trees are lush and detailed, the water looks real and looks better then the previous titles, and the cutscenes are better then ever!
I have no problem with the graphics, because its absolutley perfect for a PSP title.
Remember the 80s? The awesome songs, the funky dressing style.. well its all here.. and the radio stations.. are AWESOME.. all the classics.. and sometimes I park into a quiet place and listen to the songs.. The radio stations are better then previous GTA titles.. and all the radio stations are awesome... and for the voices?? Its a GTA to the core.. thats all im going to say.
So in conclusion, should you buy this game or not? Well if you've converted to Saints Row like me, you should still buy it, but you wont be as happy as the GTA lovers.. Its a great game, but for some reason it doesnt seem like a Rockstar game, but rather like a GTA Clone.. some of the characters are dull.. the story SUCKS.. and on top of that its glitchy.. and what Console GTA title has ever been glitchy? They've all been properly tested, but this one.. its just to glitchy for a Rockstar game.. but to conclude, its got the awesome graphics, the believable voice acting, the awesome radio stations... but its missing out that GTA Charm.. but should you buy it? yes.. Any GTA fan would buy it just to revisit Vice City..
