in my top 10

User Rating: 8.5 | Grand Theft Auto IV X360
In my opinion it is the best Grand Theft Auto title to date; the visuals have taken a stunningly impressive turn from its earlier titles, the detail is not perfect but is definitely incredible. The gameplay has also taken a step up; it is more than just Easter eggs and gang wars, the protagonist Niko Bellic is easy to relate to as a character as he has an actually background story. He is fresh off the boat from an unnamed country in Europe who has served in the war and has had many problems with the mafia so he escapes from his homeland and moves to Liberty City where his cousin Roman is trying to improve his life and make it to the top. Unfortunately for them they run into their own problems with debt. The story line follows Niko as he fights his way to try to free himself and his cousin from the debts and other problems they find themselves in.

The games appeal is seemingly endless; there are many missions, jobs to be done for friends, challenging achievements to be earned, many characters to meet and develop bonds and relationships with and so much more. The campaign is well worth playing twice as there are many decisions you can make to change the story line. The games multiplayer is quite impressive if I do say so myself, it includes fifteen different game modes that include racing, free for all deathmatch, and a number of co-op missions. The only issue I had with the online multiplayer is in the co-op missions that become quite repetitive after replaying them twice.

I would give this game an overall rating of 8.5/10 as it is close to perfect yet still has some bugs and glitches. I would still highly recommend this game to fans of the franchise and even those who haven't yet been introduced to the Grand Theft Auto Series.
